The Abacus 380 hematology analyzer features a sophisticated but easy-to-use, multilingual operating menu that is accessed via a large, color touch screen. This allows for rapid and accurate patient data entry and also displays test results, which includes 3 large histograms. The system is designed to be low maintenance, thus avoiding long cleaning cycles and analyzer downtime.

High performance

The Abacus 380 provides a comprehensive 18 parameter hematology report, including a 3-part WBC differential, all available within 45 seconds and with no preparation time (sample must be mixed thoroughly). All the required functions of this hematology analyzer can easily be accessed from the optimized user interface, enabling the operator to work quickly and efficiently. Its 4 USB ports allow simple connection to external devices such as a host computer or an external printer.

Reliable and efficient

Innovative design in combination with the use of high precision electronic and mechanical components ensure precise and reliable CBC results, even in the most demanding of clinical environments. The motor-driven, rotating primary tube holder eliminates the risk of sampling errors and contamination due the operator inadvertently touching the sample needle, and ensures operator safety. Abacus 3CT – Compact, Precise & Simple operation

Abacus 3CT is a compact, bench top, 3-part differential hematology analyzer with cap piercing for closed tube sampling. It is the ideal solution for small laboratories, satellite clinics and doctors’ offices which require reliable, high quality, fast CBC results.

Abacus 5 is the most advanced model in our range of hematology analyzers, utilizing patented laser-based optical measurement technology developed by Diatron. It provides cost-effective, precise and accurate 5-part differential results.

This hematology analyzer features a logical multi-lingual operating menu and the Windows-based software enables easy connection to a host computer and printers. The Abacus 5 provides a complete 24 parameter report including optical determinations of the 5-part WBC differential count. It offers open and closed tube sampling options and has a throughput of 60 samples per hour in either stat or autoloader mode. In addition, the analyzer has a 100,000-result database capacity.

Options

An option to make your life easier – Autoloader

Plugging easily into the side of the analyzer, the optional auto sampler unit is instantly recognized by the hematology analyzer software, making the Abacus 5 a true “walk-away” system.

The auto sampler has the capacity for a maximum of 100 primary sample tubes, including 10 racks of 10 sample tubes each. Capable of accepting a variety of tubes, continuous sample addition is possible after the first rack of 10 samples has been tested. Additional features of the auto sampler include an on-board mixing system and cap recognition sensor to ensure that only capped tubes are mixed and processed by the Abacus 5 hematology analyzer.

Abacus 5 Optional Small Sample Module (SSM)

With the addition of the SSM module to the Abacus 5 analyzer, it becomes possible to test venous blood samples that have only a small blood volume (25ul). The module can either be added during manufacture or retrofitted to analyzers already in the field. It requires fitting and calibration by an approved service engineer.
